Extensive experience, invaluable sector expertise
Peter has over 20 years venture capital experience having previously worked for YFM Equity Partners, Advent Venture Partners and 3i plc, three of the UK’s leading venture capital firms. He has invested or overseen investment in numerous technology companies, taking a Board role in many of them. Peter is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a MA in Natural Sciences from Oxford University.
Peter is Managing Partner of TVP and in addition to general investment responsibilities, has a lead role in managing the relationships with TVP’s fund investors.
Nick has been involved in technology venture capital since 2001, spending 6 years at NESTA before joining TVP’s South West Ventures Fund team in 2007. Nick’s primary sector focus is in medical technologies and healthcare although he also has significant experience in enterprise software.
Nick currently represents TVP on the Board’s of Atlas Genetics, who have developed a system for Point of Care diagnosis of infectious diseases, Micrima, who have technology for identifying breast cancer by radiowave and Eflow, a provider of software for financial services companies.
Richard Green started his private equity career in 1988 with Kleinwort Benson Development Capital and was a Founding Partner in 2001 of August Equity LLP where he was Managing Partner until 2009 and then Chairman until his retirement in April 2014. August Equity is an independent private equity with over £300m of funds under management, investing between £10m and £25m in UK companies.
Richard is a past chairman of the British Venture Capital Association and is currently a non-executive director of AIM-quoted Qannas Investments Limited, a non-executive director of Northern Venture Trust PLC, a member of the Advisory Board of Finance for Business North East and a member of the Advisory Committee of the European Investment Bank’s Growth Finance Initiative. He is also a trustee of Dyslexia Action and the Chartered Accountants Livery charity.
Gus is a qualified accountant with commercial experience in both venture capital and technology start-ups. Before joining the team at Technology Venture Partners, Gus was Assistant Financial Controller and oversaw FCA compliance at Eden Ventures. Previously, Gus specialised in the Financial Services companies at Ernst & Young. Gus has BSc in Biochemistry from Liverpool University.
